In VEGAS for Komplique

I just recently got back from my trip to Vegas and all I have to say is it is an AWESOME place and I cannot wait to go back!! Many of you know I competed in a model search for the luxury swimwear line, Komplique, back in Nov. & Dec. 2012. I made it into the top 10 finalists, but was unable to compete in the last round because of prior engagements to go to L.A. to host New Years Eve. (which was also an incredibly awesome time!) Even though I didn’t win the model search, I was lucky enough to be asked to travel to Vegas with them to present their line to the Vegas board for the first time!

Heather Elizabeth Komplique ModelSo what exactly happened? Well, when I arrived in Vegas I was picked up my my own personal stretch limo (it was a little roomy, but I made do lol) and was taken to the beautiful Encore Hotel where I stayed for 3 nights. There we had a small casting for the other three models I would be presenting the line with… and we found the perfect ladies! The next day we walked a runway in front of the Vegas board in hopes they would like the line enough and allow Komplique to open a retail store in Vegas. And after that… well, we just enjoyed Vegas!

The ladies and I all enjoyed drinks and a beautiful dinner together at an amazing sushi restaurant at the Wynn. Later that night we went out to some of the Vegas clubs and just enjoyed ourselves! I gambled for the first time!! Which was so much fun! Black Jack was my game of choice and of course, as always, the house won! hahaha!! But it was a blast anyway!

Thank  you to Komplique and it’s amazing staff for having me on this fabulous trip! Also a big thanks to the gorgeous models who participated in the event! Don’t forget to visit www.komplique.com to check out there amazing line of luxury swimwear, cover ups, dresses and more!

Second Feature in Koncept Magazine!

I am super excited to be featured in Koncept Magazine for the second time in my modeling career!! The first feature I had with them was the Spotlight Feature in the November 2012 issue! It featured a few photos of me along with a short interview on how I got started modeling and the excitement I had as I was beginning a new career.

Heather Elizabeth Model Koncept Mag Feature

I am now featured for a second time in the Alternative section of the magazine! Thank you to my amazing photographer- Gilbert V. Castillo for the fun and sexy shoot! Our shoot was held at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Chicago. The photo featured in this months issue was actually taken right in front of the window about 4 stories high. It was funny to look down and wonder if people passing by could see me in my underwear!

Mini L.A. Shoot

Many of you know I did a mini photo shoot while I was in LA back in January! Some of the photos have been posted on Facebook and Twitter, but I keep getting asked to see the whole set.. So after being lazy for a very long time  I finally decided to post them! hahaha! Sorry for the wait ;)

Heather Elizabeth model 7

The shoot was done on the beaches of LA! Right on the Ocean! It was absolutely beautiful!! But a little chilly.. which is why you wont see me in a bikini in any of these photos! haha! I actually had a jacket on in between shots!

Heather Elizabeth Model 2

This was a spur of the moment shoot.. which I have never done before, so unlike all of my other photos, I don’t have professionally done hair and make up in these, but it’s nice having some more natural shots for my portfolio. We all need to show our natural beauty sometimes :)

Heather Elizabeth Model 3

The whole shoot was done by R2G Photography. An amazing photographer, origionally from oversees, but now working out of LA, California… He has the cutest accent! haha!

Heather Elizabeth Model 4

This next shot is probably my favorite from the whole set. I’m not sure why though? haha..  I honestly think I’m in love with the way it is shot up, showing the underside of the pier. The textures are unique.

Heather Elizabeth Model 5…And this is the last shot from my LA shoot… See I can do more than lingerie ;) hahaha! Which is your favorite? Be sure to let me know in a comment!! XoXo

Heather Elizabeth Model Playmate NYE 2013

I got to host a fabulous New Years Eve party with some of the Playmates. These ladies are not only gorgeous, but also some of the most amazing people I have ever met. We enjoyed campaign and danced the night away to some incredible beats from DJ Colleen Shannon and DJ Splyce. Those two really know how to get a party started! Amie and I go go danced towards the end of the night. It was my first time go go dancing at an event..And I loved it! haha! But I love to dance so that was no shocker to me :) It was crazy fun night I will never forget!

Heather Elizabeth model Showtime

I was also inside Showtime studios! It was awesome because you can’t just walk into Showtime studios, you have to have an appointment with someone, so not gonna lie, I felt pretty cool to be there ;) It was just amazing to see the posters of all the shows hanging up everywhere! Some that I watch pretty religiously.. The meeting whet well and I’m so excited for whats to come in 2013! Brace yourself! It’s gonna be big! ;)

Heather Elizabeth, Valerie Mason, Amie Rose

And of course I did touristy stuff with the ladies! How could I not? It was my first time there! We walked Hollywood Blvd. and snapped like a million photos! I found Marilyn Monroe’s star and her hand and foot prints in the cement! Her feet were so tiny!! I also found Betty White and Ticker Bell’s star.. I didn’t even know fictional characters could get a star?!! haha!

Heather Elizabeth model Hollywood

I can’t wait to return to LA! And with the way things are going, it looks like I wont have to wait long. It was definitely the most amazing experience of my life! <3

Behind the Scenes- Christmas Card Shoot

I had an awesome time doing a Christmas themed photo shoot with the amazing Steven J. Ricks this past weekend! We had a ton of fun (as always) and ended up with some beautiful shots! Check out the behind the scenes photos:

And here are some of the final edited images!

Heather Elizabeth Christmas5S

We shot on two sets- the french doors, which you may have seen before in some of my other lingerie shots, and the blank wall with almost blown out lights. I love both! And even though the french door set is something I have done before, we got  completely different shots this time. Everything was Christmas themed and we experimented with some fun lighting. (Well, the photographers experimented with the lighting, I just watched hahaha!)

Heather Elizabeth Christmas6S

I love this next shot! I never show my fun side.. All of my photos are sexy and serious. This shows my true personality! I’m just out to have fun! I love my job and even though my photos are mostly seductive, that’s not how the feel is during the shoot. Were always laughing, smiling, and having a good time. :)

Heather Elizabeth Christmas1S

..And back to the seductive shots lol! I can’t help it, glamour modeling is my passion!

Heather Elizabeth Christmas2S

I’m pretty sure this next shot is my favorite one from this shoot. I just love images that are sexy, but also pretty and I think this is one of those shots… Plus I love not having shoes on hehe..

My Top 10 Most Asked Questions

I get questions from you guys EVERY DAY! And I love it!! But I just cannot reply to everyone, especially when a lot of the questions are the same. So I decided to answer your top 10 questions here! (in no particular order) Hope you enjoy! XoXo

Heather Elizabeth2

1. How did you get started modeling? Isn’t it a hard business to get into? I had always wanted to be a model, ever since I can remember really. When I was really young I would sit in front of the T.V. for hours and watch America’s Next Top Model! I never pursued it though because friends and family told me it was “to hard to break into the business” or “it’s not a real job, your done when you hit 30″. So I pursued cosmetology instead. I ended up working in a few high end salons where I did hair and make up for models for their photo shoots… and one day while talking with one of the models it just hit me! I thought to myself “If she can do it, why can’t I?”. That day I contacted a local photographer, we set up a shoot, I got some nice shots and after that I had people contacting me for work! I guess I’m one of the lucky ones, but I’m so glad I finally worked up the courage to take that first step.

2. What is your favorite type of modeling? Glamour! I just adore it! Followed by fashion. There completely different, but I have a strong love for both.

3. How have the people in your life reacted to your new career? Everyone is different. Most of my close friends who have always been there are still there. And really, that’s all that matters. Of course I have my haters, but in this type of career it’s almost impossible not to. I know who supports me and who doesn’t, you hear things through the grapevine. The thing I find funny is when I get a message from someone who would never have talked to me in High School and now all of a sudden they want to be best friends. It just makes me laugh and I ignore it.

4. What do you think your biggest accomplishment in modeling is so far? In Sept. I was lucky enough to be asked to atmosphere model alongside 4 of the Playboy Playmates. We hung out for a few days, went shopping, hit a club, and of course, hosted the event. I had an awesome time and it was great to meet them and their manager. They are some of the sweetest people I have met in my modeling career so far.

5. How has your life changed since you started modeling? It honestly hasn’t changed that much. I have met a ton of amazing people in the industry and had the opportunity to model and host events, but that’s really it. I get paid to do a job that I love and I couldn’t ask for more.

6. Do you have anything really exciting coming up? OMG yes!! I have super exciting news!! …but I cannot tell you :( not yet anyways..

7. What is your biggest goal for 2013? Well, I wouldn’t really say I have a “biggest goal”. I have some shoots and events booked for 2013 that are going to be amazing and a big offer that I am highly considering. But for right now I just want to get out into the industry more.

Heather Elizabeth Complete Hacoc1

8. Is Heather Elizabeth your real name? Yes :)

9. What do you like to do when your not modeling or hosting events? I enjoy many things: going out to dinner, seeing new movies, going musicals or concerts, going to clubs.. pretty much your typical things.

10. Who do you look up to in the modeling world? I really look up to Tyra Banks. She has pushed through so many people telling her she wouldn’t make it in her career and look at her now! She never let anyone stop her from following her dream! Also Cindy Crawford. That woman is amazing! She has been on over 600 magazine covers worldwide since the start of her career! Now that’s an accomplishment!!
